Waltonfeed MIA

Just wondering if anyone has been in contact with them. They haven't responded to my emails or answered the phone in a long time (I never left a message though). It's been over a couple months since i placed my order. I know they are notoriously slow, but they at least usually respond to emails. Anyone recieve any orders from them lately? I dont want society to unravel before I get my black beans.

Honeyville notified my order shipped, so for the items they have, which is far less than Walton, they are prompt. If you think you need some stored food fast, get beans, rice, etc at your local grocer or co-op, and order any items Honeyville carries that you want, then fill in the gaps from slow, but very many itemed Walton.

Honeyville carries grains, freeze dried fruits, a long storage modified milk, long storage eggs, and some freeze dried veggies. Some things are in #10 cans and some in 50lb bags which you then have to store properly. The freeze dried stuff is in the cans, but they also sell steel cut oats in #10 cans, though most grain is in 50lb bags. I got my sugar substitute and my almond flour there too. But I think they only have pinto beans. Beans are easy to pick up locally for most of us. Even black beans, which we went light on because they take so long to cook. We are thinking of not wanting to use much fuel in a SHTF situation. But if you have a woodstove and a woodlot, slow cooking things would not be an issue, and black beans taste great.

We feel SO much more relaxed with a good food supply in. Best case we bought it at a discount on future prices. Worst case we don't have to hope to line up at a soup kitchen.

Walton was fast when I ordered from them last year.

I just read at another forum that walton feed is out of rice and buckwheat. They must be getting slammed. Since its been almost three months I cancelled my order. Good thing I can buy the items I was waiting on locally.

RealityCheck, I ordered from them back in late April or early May, and other than an email from them in early June that said my order was being processed, I haven't heard from them or received my order. Walton Feed has always been extremely slow in delivery, however, and while I've never emailed them, I hear they don't really answer emails, either.

They carry some things that others don't and carry some things in small cans that you can't get in size 2-1/2 cans elsewhere, so I still order from them from time to time, but only for items I don't mind waiting 3 months for. If you want something in a hurry, there are far better places to order from. At any rate, don't worry. Though every great once in a while they do get stuff out quickly, most of the time the long wait seems to be just business as usual for them.

By the way, if you were waiting on rice, try the LDS. Their prices are good, they don't charge shipping, and their delivery is pretty fast.

When I was in business I had to ship in 30 days or I was told I was in big trouble?

Last time I wanted to order 250 pounds of white, red, and soft wheat, I compared prices plus shipping between Honeyville and Walton's. Walton's truly wanted to make me bleed for shipping.

I ordered my wheat from Honeyville.

They didn't answer any of my previous emails, excpet the one where I ask to cancel my order. They answered that one within a couple hours. They must have been relieved. :D

Here's my luck. I got a confirmation email of my cancelation yesterday, then today got a UPS tracking number for the shipment. I guess they were one day away from shipping it when I cancelled. :banghead:

I'm not sure if its going to ship or not, but I hope not. I tried to modify my order via email back in May but appearently they never changed it (I can tell by the total ship weight). If it's coming then i'm going to be up to my ears in food since I already bought all the things I cancelled in my order back in May. I guess i'll find out tommorow if they respond to the email I sent them. UPS just shows that data has been recieved, no package has scanned yet.

Unless you have nowhere to put it, food at today's FRN prices is something few of us will be sorry to have, IMO.

It depends on how hyper the inflation gets, but they are talking monetizing the losses of the big boyz. JP Morgan has 70 trillion in melting derivatives. US GDP is 13 trillion. They can patch here and there, but without taking the dollar to zero they cannot print their way out of this.

Meanwhile, for however long they patch, food and energy will go up.

If I only I had the space!

It looks like my package is shipping. I guess I'll have a couple hundred extra pounds of beans. I also have a super pail of tomato powder coming. I sure hope that stuff is decent since I also have a case of it coming from EE. I've never even tasted the stuff before either. :D
